Attackers sought
Police are appealing for witnesses and information after two men were attacked in Fore Street on Friday night.

The incident took place around 2am on Saturday morning when a man and his friend were walking along Fore Street, during which they were passed by three other men walking in the other direction. A few moments after passing them, between the Bosphorus kebab shop and the taxi rank, the first man was struck on the head by one of the three men. He fell to the floor and was kicked and punched several times by the group. His friend was also assaulted.
The men have then run off in the direction of Parliament Square. The main victim, a 31-year-old man from Cheshunt, was treated in hospital for a broken jaw. His friend suffered a black eye.
The three offenders are described as white males aged in their 20s to early 30s. They are believed to have had northern accents.
Detective Constable Neil Lancey, from the Local Crime Unit in Hertford, said: "This appears to be an unprovoked attack which has left the victim with serious injuries. I would appeal to anyone who was out on the night and saw the incident or who believes they know the offenders to come forward and speak to me. Any information you have could help establish who are responsible."
Anyone with information about the incident should contact police on the non-emergency number 101 quoting crime reference A1/13/3209.
