Man kidnapped and blackmailed
Police are appealing for information after a man was kidnapped and blackmailed after a night out in Hertford
Between 12.20am and 12.50am on Sunday 8th March, two men fell into conversation with a man who was standing in Parliament Square after a night out in Hertford.
The two men offered to drive the man to his home in Broxbourne, but on the way forced him to hand over and unlock his phone. They kept him in the car whilst they made transactions using his phone, amounting to several thousand pounds. They also contacted the victim’s wife and demanded she send them money or they threatened to share intimate photos they found on the phone.
Officers are releasing the image because the people pictured are believed to have been in the area at the time and may have information to assist the investigation.
