Residents urged to say 'Yes' in Neighbourhood Plan referendum
Residents of Kingsmead ward are being urged to vote in favour of the Kingmead Neighbourhoiod Plan when a referendum is held on Thursday 4th May.

Described as "a plan for residents, by residents", the proposed policies aim to develop a sustainable, safe and prosperous neighbourhood by promoting a range of good quality, sustainable developments, including residential, small business, local shops and local services, whilst protecting and enhancing biodiversity, and enhancing green spaces.
The plan also promotes alternative methods to vehicule transport within and across the area, coupled with local services to reduce car journeys thereby reducing traffic intensity, improving air quality and promoting a healthy lifestyle for residents.
Kingsmead ward includes most of Ware Road and the surrounding streets, Pinehurst, Foxholes, The Meads and parts of Head Lane.
If the plan is approved by local residents, the policies will be used to inform planning decisions in Kingsmead,
