Sele Farm Drug Raids

A series of properties on the Sele Farm Estate were raided this morning by armed police.

Premises in Hutton Close, Tudor Way, Lawrence Close, Hamsworth Court, The Ridgeway, Carriden Court and Edmunds Road were all targetted in the raids, as well as a property in North Road.

A total of 5 men and 3 women from Hertford were arrested in the raids, which also included properties in Broxbourne, Cheshunt, New Southgate and Folkestone.

Chief Inspector Julie Wheatley, who led the operation said: “East Herts does not have a significant problem with drugs however there are a small number of people who are involved with drugs and drug dealing and this operation was aimed at targeting those people."

The raids come just a month after similar operations in Hutton Close and Farm Close.
