Two Brewers raided

Six people have been arrested following a raid on the Two Brewers in Port Vale.

Police raided the pub on Friday evening to execute a number of warrants in connection with drugs offences.

Two local men received cautions at the scene for possession of cocaine, whilst two others were arrested for possession and cautioned.

A 58 year old man was arrested on suspicion of allowing a premises to be used for the supply of class A drugs and he has been bailed until October. A 55 year old man was arrested for possession with intent to supply. He has also been bailed until October.

A quantity of drugs, phones and drug paraphernalia was also recovered.

Chief Inspector Gerry McDonald said: "This operation was intelligence led and we acted on information we received relating to drug use and other offences being carried out in the location. Friday 13 was definitely unlucky for these offenders, however this is daily business and I hope it sends out a clear message that drug offences will not be tolerated and more such operations are planned."
