Polls predict Labour win for Hertford & Stortford

Two recent polls suggest that Labour's Josh Dean could be heading for parliament at next month's General Election.

A poll conducted by Survation between 22nd May and 2nd June predicts that Labour will win the Hertford & Stortford constituency with a 40% share of the vote, with Conservatives on 28.2%.

Survation spoke to 30,044 people nationwide. The company uses MRP (Multilevel Regression and Poststratification) modelling to provide accurate estimates of current voting intention in the 632 seats in Great Britain.

Another MRP poll by YouGov predicts that local MP Julie Marson will narrowly hold the seat with 35% of the vote against Labour's 34%, with the LibDems and Reform both on 11% and Green 8%.

YouGov interviewed 53,334 people nationwide between 24th May and 1st June.

The latest prediction by Electoral Calculus also gives Labour the seat with a 42.6% share of the vote, with Conservatives on 37.6%, Reform on 7.1%, Greens on 6.2% and the LibDems on 5.7%

The General Election takes place on Thursday 4th July and a valid ID is required to vote

The full list of candidates standing in Hertford & Stortford will be published on Friday 7th June.
