Classical music festival to stage free concert

Sunday 18 February 2024

The Hertfordshire Festival of Music returns to Hertford this month with a free, inaugural concert.

The concert will feature renowned violinist Litsa Tunnah, who performed at the Festival in 2023, accompanied on the piano by our Artistic Director, James Francis Brown.

The concert takes place at St Andrew’s Church, St Andrew Street in Hertford at 7:15pm on Thursday 29th February.

James Francis Brown, Hertfordshire Festival of Music Artistic Director, said: "Litsa Tunnah has performed at some of the world's most prestigious music venues so it is a huge honour to welcome her back to Hertford as we launch this year's Hertfordshire Festival of Music.

"We are busy planning the full Festival, which takes place in June, but this inaugural event provides music lovers an opportunity to hear about our plans and enjoy some wonderful music."

Tickets are available from www.hertsmusicfest.org.uk.

The Hertfordshire Festival of Music, which will take place from 7th until 15th June 2024, is currently being planned. This year's theme is "The Power of 2: Musical and Artistic Dialogues", embraces the concept of partnerships - with the "whole" being more than the "sum of the parts".

Over the last eight years, the Festival has been built on the involvement, support and encouragement of Hertford and the county’s communities.
