Police appeal after two men punched

Police are appealing for information after two men were assaulted in Fore Street in the early hours of Sunday 3rd December.

The attack occurred outside Dirties in Fore Street between 3.20am and 3.28am, whn it is reported that the victim was stood with a group of people before a group of males approached him. The victim was punched in the face, causing significant facial injuries requiring hospital treatment.

The victim’s friend was then punched by the same man causing a bloodied nose, and scratches to the face.

The suspect is described as a black male, of medium build, around 5ft 5ins tall and with dreadlocks. He is believed to have made off towards Gascoyne Way multi-story car park after the incident.

PC Jordan Critchley, who is investigating, said: "I am appealing to the public for any witnesses or information which may support our investigation.

"Our enquiries are at the early stages, and we are working to establish the circumstances around what has happened.

"If you were out that night and remember seeing something happening, please contact me."
