Lea Wharf bins set alight

Police are investigating after intruders broke in to a bin store at Lea Wharf and set bins alight.

Three fire appliances attended the incident, which occurred around 5pm on Sunday afternoon (16th September).

Police are now appealing for anyone with information that might help them to come forward by contacting them on the non-emergency number 101, quoting crime number 41/74800/23.

The new development of 98 homes, retail space and a health centre is nearing completion and homeowners have started to occupy the flats.
