Man Murdered on Sele Farm Estate

A man has been arrested following the death of a 21-year-old man in Farm Close.

Police responded to reports of a disturbance in the early hours of Monday. A man was discovered with multiple stab wounds and later pronounced dead.

Herts Police said in a stement on their website: "The Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Major Crime Unit has launched a murder investigation following the death of a man in Hertford.

At 2.04am today (Monday, July 23) police were called to reports of a disturbance inside an address in Farm Close.

Officers and paramedics attended where they found that a 21 year old man had suffered several stab wounds. He was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

Police remain at the scene at this time and enquiries are on-going to establish the exact circumstances surrounding the death.

A 21 year old man from Hertford has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in police custody at this time.

The incident comes less than two months after another man was murdered in Horns Mill Road.  A 30-year-old man, Terry Fryatt has since been charged.
