Council planning Summer of events

Saturday 6 March 2021

Hertford Town Council are planning a range of events this summer, with the popular Rock At The Castle scheduled to return on Sunday 1st August.

The council's season opens with the Hertford Arts Trail, taking place from Monday 12th April until 8th May. The date co-insides with the earliest date that non-essential retail will be allowed to open. Pop-up art exhibitions will be located around the town centre, with bars and cafes, beauty salons, clothes retailers & gift shops all hosting local artists.

In June the castle grounds could host two open air theatre performances, whilst August will feature a food and drink festival, open air cinema, and a children's play day.

Other events include an Enchanted Fairy Trial, Teddy Bears' Picnic, and a health and wellbeing event.

The government hopes to be in a position to remove all legal limits on social contact from 21st June.

Those aged 60 and over are now being offered vaccinations and schools are due to go back on Monday (8th March).

The latest report from PHE shows that there is now no statistically significant excess mortality in Britain.

Hertford Music Festival have yet to confirm that the Musical Mystery Tour will go ahead on Sunday 29th August.
