Glamping site planned for farm
A farm north of Hertford has submitted a planning application to open a glamping site on land between the town and Hertford Heath.

Foxholes Farm are proposing up to 2 Glamping Pods/tents for weekend and mid-week use, mainly between the months of April to October. The glamping units would feature contain baths and food preparation areas along with flushing toilets. Parking for up to 40 vehicles would be provided.
The farm already operates a diverse and mixed use site with an assortment of commercial enterprises, livestock, play area and café, butchers and numerous well supported small businesses.
However, Hertford Town Council have objected to the plans, highlighting concerns that the 12 pods will become permanent and lead to a loss of openness and inappropriate development in the Green belt. There were also concerns regarding car parking for in the Green belt.
A planning desicon is expected before the Spring.
