Surgeries to merge

Two doctors surgeries in Hertford & Ware are to merge after working together for the last 12 months.

Castlegate Surgery in Hertford and Church Street Surgery in Ware are to merge, forming a new partnership named New River Health.

In a letter to patients, the partnership said that the new operation would provide "more robust and effective GP services".

The service will continue to operate from the existing buldings in Castle Street and Church Street in Ware, although some services may "from time to time be located at the other surgery building". Opening hours wil remain the same.

New River Health will be holding a drop-in event at the Castlegate Surgery on Thursday 12th March at 12:30pm and 6:30pm, where patients can meet staff from both practices and ask questions about the merger.
