Barber granted alcohol licence
Old Cross barber Perrins has been granted an alcohol premises licence following a meeting of the District Council's Licensing Sub-committee.

The business will be allowed to sell alcohol to members of its 300 Club in an area discreetly separate to the main area of Perrins Barbers, during opening hours - 9am to 6pm Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9am to 10pm Wednesdays and Fridays, 9-5 on Saturdays and 10-4 on Sundays.
The bar will not open to the general public.
David Perrin told the committee that he was seeking to make his business different by offering a small range of bottled beers, spirits and wine and hot beverages to those customers who were members of his 300 Club, which currently has 21 members. Only club members waiting for a haircut could purchase alcohol, not any 300 Club members who wished to come in off the street for a drink.
Four objections were received from members of the public. There were no objections from any respopnsible authority.
