Two arrested following Parliament Square incident

Two men have been arrested following an incident in Parliament Square yesterday afternoon, Sunday 15th September.

Police were called at 2:06pm following multiple reports of violence, and a report of a weapon. On arriving, 2 males were detained and arrested at the scene on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm (ABH).

The road was closed whilst five emergency vehicles attended - three ambulances and two police cars, one of which was unmarked.

The investigation is currently ongoing.
