New town centre flats proposed

A planning application has been submitted for seven flats above shops in Railway Street.

The proposals are for an amended scheme for a project that received planning permission last year. There is no provision for parking - which is not unusual for such town centre flats.

As well as the seven flats on the three floors above the shops, the premises currently occupied by Mr.Bansons and Mudlarks would be combined in to one retail unit.

The Grade II listed buldings date from around 1830 to 1850. The upper floors are currently used by the retail premises below.
