Welwyn drama group win Theatre Week
Three local drama groups celebrated after winning trophies at this year's Hertford Theatre Week.

Hertford's Company of Players were the big winners at yesterday's awards presentation, having been invited to take part at the last moment following the late withdrawal of Thursday's production. Their production of 'Six Dead Queens & An Inflatable Henry' won the Runner's Up prize, together with the award for Stage Presentation and the Audience Appreciation Award.
The Barn Theatre Club were overall winners for their production of 'Dinner' by Moira Buffini.
The adjudicator's discretionary award went to Ben Stanton and Julia Langley for their acting performances in 'The Graduate' which was presented by White Cobra Productions of Northampton.
Hertford Theatre Week, the town’s annual competitive amateur drama festival, regularly attracts entries from far and wide, and 2019 was no exception, with 2 of the 6 participating teams journeying from Northampton and the Isle of Wight respectively. But the overall winner and runner up trophies were both claimed by Hertfordshire-based teams.
Nexy year's event takes place on 20th-25th April 2020
