Hertford Theatre Week Opens
Hertford annual Theatre Week has opened at Hertford Theatre in The Wash, with six stage productions competing for a range of prizes.

The town’s annual 6-day long drama festival will take place at Hertford Theatre with a different play performed each evening as competing drama teams offer a rich variety of entertainment whilst vying for the 5 different trophies offered by the festival committee.
Curtain up is at 7.45pm each night, except for Saturday’s earlier 7.15pm start to allow time for the presentation of the trophies at the end of the evening.
After each performance professional drama adjudicator Walker Ewart OBE will take to the stage to offer a public assessment of all aspects of that night’s production, often an additional entertainment in itself! And at the end of the Saturday performance prizes are awarded to the overall winner and runner up, plus best stage presentation, the Adjudicator’s Award for outstanding moment of the festival, and an audience appreciation award voted for by all audience members holding a weekly ticket.
Full details of each of this year’s entries are available at www.hertfordtheatreweek.org.uk or from the leaflet in the foyer of Hertford Theatre.
Hertford Theatre week runs from Monday 29th April until Saturday 4th May 2019.
