Hertford calendar launched for 2027

The Official Hertford Calendar for 2027 is now on sale at the Hertford Town and Tourist Information Centre.

Over the summer, the public were invited to submit photographs of Hertford for the calendar, with 100 entries being submitted.

A judging panel made up of the Mayor of Hertford, Chair of the Development and Leisure Committee, and Hertford based designer and photographer Paul Crowley; selecting images for the cover and each calendar month. Eight photographs were also chosen to receive a Mayor’s Commendation.

The A3 calendar is printed on environmentally friendly, recycled paper and includes dates of Hertford Town Council’s free community events.

A winners ceremony took place at Hertford Castle on Sunday 25th October 2026, where the competition winners were all awarded a copy of the calendar and a certificate, signed and presented by the Mayor of Hertford.

Selecting the winning images from so many beautiful photographs of Hertford was a real challenge. So many aspects of our wonderful town were captured; its natural beauty, its architecture and its unique heritage. Thank you to all the talented local photographers who took the time to enter the competition and many congratulations to the winners, as well as those who received my special commendation.
