Future of beauty salon uncertain

The future of town centre salon Showoff is unclear after the shop failed to open and fittings were removed.

In a message posted on Instagram, owner Yazmin Oukhellou, explained that the business had closed due to a "landlord dispute".

The salon opened to the public six months ago on the corner of Railway Street and Market Street, following an extensive refit.

We are writing to share some deeply regrettable news regarding SHOWOFF. Due to an ongoing landlord dispute that remains unresolved, we have been forced to close our doors overnight. This decision was entirely out of our hands, and we are devastated that we cannot welcome you into our space at this time.

First and foremost. we want to thank each and every one of you. Your loyalty, support, and trust have meant the world to our team. Serving SHOWOFF's clients has been an absolute privilege, and we are incredibly proud of the community we have built.

We understand you will have questions regarding bookings, gift vouchers and packages. Please rest assured that we are working though these administrative details as quickly as possible.

All upcoming bookings have been cancelled. We will contact affected clients individually regarding any deposits that have been paid.

We are currently reviewing all outstanding balances. Please hold on to your vouchers and package information while we finalise our legal and financial obligations.
