A landmark building in Hertford Town Centre is on the market for an undisclosed sum.

The former library in Old Cross has been home to interior design business since the library relocated to Maidenhead Street at the end of 2011.

The property is described by agent Paul Wallave Commecial as: "A detached Grade II listed building built circa 1890 in a mixture of Old English revival & Queen Anne styles of solid brick construction under pitched old tiled roof. The library closed on 24th December 2024 and was reopened the following month in modern purpose-built premises.
