Sainsbury introduces new parking system

Sainsbury's have introduced a new car parking payment system in their Hertford store in Hartham Lane. 

It is hoped the new system will deter people who use the 2 hours free parking when visiting Hartham Common.

Motorists have had to endure long waits to exit the car park at weekends due to visitors to the Common all leaving at the same time, creating long queues at the exit and on to the junction at Cowbridge.

Shoppers will now have to spend £10 in store to get a car parking voucher which has to be scanned at one of the new payment machines outside the shop.

There is also a free 20 minute free parking period for those needing a quick shop.
