No Hertford East trains until weekend

There will be no train services from Hertford East until the weekend after a burst water main at Rye House station caused serious flooding and damaged signalling equipment.

A service disruption notice on Greaer Anglia's website says: "Services are suspended between Broxbourne and Hertford East and will remain so for the rest of today and tomorrow (Thursday 18th December). Rye House station has been suffered extensive damage from the flooding and will be completely closed tomorrow (Thursday 18th December) and on Friday 19th December. Greater Anglia would like to apologise to all passengers who have had their journey's disrupted by this incident."

Very limited rail replacement buses will also be in service tomorrow (18th December).
