Hertford calendar 2026 launched
The Official Hertford Calendar for 2026 is now on sale at the Hertford Town and Tourist Information Centre, after 12 winners were selected from over 100 entries.
Over the summer, the public were invited to submit their photographs of Hertford in a competition, to be included in the calendar. The judging panel, made up of the Mayor of Hertford, Councillor Steven Watson; Leader of the Council, Councillor Alex Daar and Hertford based designer and photographer Paul Crowley; had the challenging task of selecting photographs for the cover and each calendar month.
Six photos were also chosen to receive a Mayor’s Commendation.
This year’s calendar is A3 sized and printed on environmentally friendly, recycled paper. It includes all the dates of Hertford Town Council’s free community events.
A winners ceremony took place at Hertford Castle on Sunday 26th October where the deserving photographers were all awarded a copy of the calendar and a certificate, signed and presented by the Mayor of Hertford.
The Mayor of Hertford, Councillor Steven Watson commented: "It was a real challenge to select the winning images from so many beautiful photographs of Hertford – they all capture various aspects of our wonderful town; its unique heritage, its architecture and its natural beauty. Thank you to all who took part and many congratulations to the winners and those who received special commendations."
The Official Hertford 2026 Calendar is now available to buy at the Hertford Town and Tourist Information Centre for £12.50 each.
