Cocaine worth £2m seized in drugs raid

More than £2m worth of cocaine was seized when a commercial property was raided in Hertford yesterday, Thursday 22nd May.

Herts Police's Serious and Organised Crime team have launched an investigation into a significant drugs supply network, after the discovery in the Caxton Hill Extension Road.

Three people were arrested on suspicion of drug offences during the operation, they were:

• A 59-year-old woman from Hatfield
• A 44-year-old man from Acton, London
• A 51-year-old man from Hatfield

Police are also looking for further individuals in connection with the offences under investigation.

A spokesperson from Hertfordshire Constabulary's Operation Relentless team, said: "Operation Relentless will pursue anyone involved in drug supply and Hertford residents should be reassured by this significant seizure, knowing those drugs will not make it onto the streets of Hertford and beyond."

Police were still on site on Saturday afternoon (25th May) including scientific services.
