Lindisfarne coming to BEAM Hertford
Legendary 70s folk/rock outfit Lindisfarne will be playing BEAM Hertford in the summer as part of their 2025 tour and BEAM's Folk Week.
The band formed in Newcastle in 1970 and had a string of top-ten singles and albums, including the breakthrough album Fog On The Tyne, which stayed in the UK album chart for 56 weeks.
Their singles include "Meet Me On The Corner", "Lady Eleanor" and "Run For Home".
Their pioneering sound combined acoustic instruments like mandolin and fiddle with their electric blues roots, and delievered memorable songs penned by the band’s resident writers Alan Hull and Rod Clements.
The band have been through a number of line-ups, with Rod Clements the only remaining original musician. Vocalist Alan Hull died in 1995.
Lindisfarne play BEAM Hertford on Friday 25th July with tickets costing £35.
