New Plans Submitted For Ware Road Site

A new planning application has been submitted for homes on a derelict site on Ware Road.

The former garage site already has planning permission for 51 new homes but Persimmon have submitted a new applicaton to change the number and mix of homes.

The new application is for 45 dwellings made up of 28 2-bed flats in two apartment buildings, plus 17 2-bed and 3-bed houses. The development would deliver 92 parking spaces for the 45 properties. 

The site was last used as a petrol station, car showroom, garage and industrial units. The petrol station was removed in 2000 and all other suses ended in 2008, since when the buildings have been demolished and the site derelict.
