Sunday 18 March 2012

A man is in a critical condition after a collision in Beane Road during the early hours of Saturday morning.

The incident occurred on Beane Road at 12.25am and involved a silver Vauxhall Zafira and a pedestrian. The pedestrian is critically ill in hospital in Paddington. The lady driving the Zafira was not injured.

PC Andy Ralph from the Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire Roads Policing Unit is investigating and said: "Although this collision occurred in the early hours of the morning there may have been people who saw or heard what happened and I would ask that they contact police.

"It is believed the injured man may have been on a night out in town. If you had been out for the night also, were walking in this direction and believe you may have seen anything which would assist our investigation I would ask that you contact police"

Anyone with information shoul contact the non-emergency number 101 and quoting Operation Dobra.
