Police appeal after assault

Police are appealing for witnesses and information after an assault that left an man unconscious.

The incident occurred outside The Hertford House Hotel at around 12.33am on Saturday 26th October, when a 17 year old male was punched to the back of the head.

The victim was taken to hospital for treatment.

Detective Constable Tony Morris is investigating and said: "There were a number of people in the area at the time who may have witnessed what happened. If you were in Fore Street in the early hours of the 26th of October and can assist with any information please call me."
