New councillor elected

Wednesday's by-election in Bengeo has been won by Labour candidate Alec Turner.
Three candidates stood for election - Alec Turner (Labour), Andrew Porrer (Liberal Democrat) and Colin Campbell (UKIP).
The seat will next be contested in May 2015.
Final Result
Alec Turner (Lab) 337
Andrew Porrer (LD) 319
Colin Campbell (UKIP) 318
Turnout 15.88%
The seat became vacant after the recent death of Conservative councillor Russel Radford.
