Charity furniture shop opens

A charity shop selling second hand furniture has opened in North Road, occupying premises that were previously a car showroom.

Temporary planning permisson for Change Of Use was granted by planning officers, allowing retail use of the premises until the end of May 2015.

The shop is run by homeless charity Emmaus and sells predominantly large items of furniture, such as sofas, tables, wardrobes and chests of drawers.
