Man jailed after town centre disorder
A man has been jailed following violent disorder in the town centre last month.

Nathan Caswell, 21, has been jailed for 32 months after pleading guilty to four charges.
At around 10pm on Sunday 14 July, police received several calls reporting that disorder had broken out in the town centre. Two people sustained stab wounds during the incident.
An investigation was launched by the East Herts Local Crime Unit, and a number of arrests were made.
Caswell, previously of Birdie Way in the town, was subsequently charged and pleaded guilty to:
- violent disorder
- possession of a bladed article
- possession with intent to supply cannabis
- possession of Class A drugs
He appeared before St Albans Crown Court for sentencing on Friday 9th August where he was jailed for a total of 32 months.
Detective Constable Clare Halfpenny, from the East Herts Local Crime Unit, said: "The incident in question saw an unprecedented level of disorder and we have been working hard to investigate the circumstances, identify further suspects and make additional arrests. Our enquiries are still ongoing.
"I hope this sends a message to people that we will not tolerate this kind of behaviour."
