The find and arrest took place after a warrant was executed this morning (Wednesday 6 March).

The operation was carried out by officers from the local Operation Scorpion and Neighbourhood Policing teams, acting on intelligence around drug supply.

A search of the property was carried out and a large quantity of suspected Class A and Class B drugs were located. Cash was also seized.

A 22-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply drugs and remains in police custody at this time.

Further enquiries will be carried out.

Neighbourhood Sergeant Adrian Pikett said: "Drugs and the criminality often associated with them can devastate lives and cause fear among local communities.

"I hope this operation serves as a warning that we will not stop our pursuit of those suspected to be involved in drug supply.

"Information from members of the public plays a vital part, as every call helps us to build up the intelligence we need to take action. If you have any concerns about drug crime in your neighbourhood, please report it."
