Fore Street pavement works set to begin

Six weeks of pavement works start in Fore Street on Monday 9th January, with footway construction taking place on both sides of the road.

The works will see the pavements upgraded from 91-115 Fore Street on the north side and 104-138 on the south side - lengths running west from South Street. 

Some parking and loading bays may be suspended.

The repairs have been recommended as a priority by County Councillor Bob Deering and are being funded using the Highways Locality Budget.

The works are weather dependent and may be postponed if poor weather is forecast. All local businesses will remain open.
