Two hurt in traffic collision

Two people were taken to hospital after a traffic collision on the A414 yesterday afternoon (Monday 19th September).

The accident occured shortly before 4pm at the junction of of Hertingfordbury Road and Cross Lane when a Mini Cooper and Citroen Cactus collided on the roundabout.

An air ambulance attended the incident, landing on Castle Mead close to the incident.

The driver and the passenger on the Mini Cooper were later taken to a nearby hospital.

Police are now appealing for witnesses and any information and dash cam footage. A spokesperson for Herts Police said: "Anyone who witnessed the collision, has any dash cam footage or any information which could assist the investigation can report information online, use online web chat, or call our non-emergency number 101 quoting ISR 336 of 19 September.
