The South and Toyah to play Corn Exchange
Two popular acts of the 1980s are set to feature on consecutive nights at The Corn Exchange in early October.

On Thursday 6th October Toyah will be playing at the town centre venue as part of her special tour celebrating 40 years of the acclaimed and Gold-certified selling album 'Anthem'.
To celebrate its 40+1 anniversary, an extended selection from Anthem will be performed by Toyah and her band alongside her other greatest hits and classics.
Toyah and her husband Robert Fripp have recently been in the pubic eye for their regular videos on the Youtube channel Toyah and Robert's Sunday Lunch.
Toyah’s career spans 43 years, 30 albums, over 25 feature films, countless TV and theatre roles, TV presenting and two books. Never one to stand still or stop creating, Toyah has inspired generations since the late 1970s to be expressive, individual and colourful.
The following evening, Friday 7th October, former members of The Beautiful South will be performing as The South, including singer Alison Wheeler and lifelong sax player Gaz Birtles.
After a year of touring theatres and festivals up and down the country, The South perform all the Beautifal South classics, such as A Little Time, Perfect 10, Rotterdam, Old Red Eyes Is Back, Good as Gold, Don't Marry Her plus many more singles and album tracks as well as a few choice South originals.
Tickets for Toyah are £27.50 (in fees) from the Corn Exchange box office at Ticketweb, or £28 on the door subject to availability.
Ticekts for The South are £25.30 (inc fees) online or £25 on the door, subject to availability.
