Lea Wharf flats available again

New flats at Hertford's Bircherley Green redevelopment are again being offered to homebuyers after having been taken off the market earlier in the year.

The town centre properties feature a residents' roof terrace, lifts to all floors, designer fitted kitchens, contemporary flooring, fully fitted bathrooms and private balconies to selected apartments.

Controversially, only 40 parking spaces are provided for the 98 flats, none of which is affordable.

The redevelopment of the shopping centre has been dogged by delays since plans were first mooted in 2014. The site was acquired by Chase New Homes in 2019 with a new scheme proposed including 37,000 sq.ft of commercial space and 98 homes. Work began in Autumn 2020.

The flats are marketed as Lea Wharf and available through Lanes Exclusive Homes in Market Street, with prices starting at £305,000.

A show apartment is due to open in Spring 2023.
