Police Appeal For Information Following A414 Collision

Sunday 5 August 2018

Officers are appealing for witnesses following a collision on the A414 on Friday (3rd August 2018).

Police were called at 11.28am to reports of a collision on the A414 eastbound between a silver Mini Cooper and a blue Subaru Impreza.

Emergency services attended and a man in his fifties was been taken to hospital.

Sergeant Samuel Cordingley from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Road Policing Unit said: "I am appealing for anyone who saw the events leading up to the incident, as well as anyone who saw the collision itself, to get in touch."

"The collision happened on a busy road and I believe there will have been many witnesses who can help us to understand the circumstances of the collision. Please do not hesitate to get in touch if you can help."

"“If you’ve got dash cam footage of what happened I would also like to hear from you."

Anyone with information is asked to contact the BCH Road Policing Unit via the non-emergency number 101, quoting ISR 301 of August 3. You can also report information online at https://www.herts.police.uk/Report .
