Scammers sought after ATM theft
Police are looking for two men after an elderly couple had £500 stolen through an ATM in Market Place.
The incident took place sometime between 10:15am and 11:00am on Friday 9th July, when an elderly man was approached while using an ATM in Market Place. He was told the machine was not working correctly and to use a different one instead.
The man took his card from the machine and walked off to use another ATM nearby. He then discovered that £500 had been withdrawn from the original machine he had been approached at.

PC Amy Griggs, who is investigating, said: "We'd like to speak with the people pictured as we believe they were in the area at the time of the incident and may have information which could assist our enquiries.
"We fully appreciate the images are not particularly clear, but someone may remember seeing these people in the area and could have information. We’ve got nothing to lose by issuing these images, to ensure we’re doing all we can for the elderly victim."
She continued: "Our enquiries have led us to believe that there may have been similar incidents in the area recently. I’d like to take this opportunity to remind people to please remain vigilant when using ATMs. Be aware of anyone who may be hanging around and always shield your PIN when entering it. Be sure that the transaction has fully completed before you walk away from a cash machine and keep your card securely out of reach from opportunist thieves.
"If you notice anyone acting suspiciously, do not use the machine and report it to the bank immediately, or contact police."
