Beauty Room window wins
The Beauty Room in St.Andrew Street has won this year's Winning Windows competition for best festive shop window.

The competition is organised by Hertford Town and Tourist Information Centre on behalf of Hertford Town Council, and was judged by Mayor of Hertford Cllr Bob Deering and Deputy Mayor Cllr Jane Sartin.
A total of 15 traders entered the competition, decorating their windows with this year’s theme of Winter Wonderland.
The top three entrants were:
- The Beauty Room on St Andrew Street
- The Salisbury Arms Hotel on Fore Street
- Leaf Café in Old Cross
Debra Woodberry, proprietor of the Beauty Room, said: "A wonderful Winter Wonderland win for the beauty room. Christmas jumpers on, festive music playing, we set about creating our own Winter Wonderland scene. We started at 10.30 on Monday morning and finished after dark, perfect timing for seeing the window in all its glory. We used nature’s gifts we collected on our 'lockdown' walks in November. And people's dreams of the future. Getting together, winter holidays, and lots of gifts to give our friends and family for Christmas. Thank you to my family who helped put it together."
Debra chose a bottle of prosecco and a box of chocolates to share with her team. The Salisbury Arms were awarded two cinema tickets kindly donated by Hertford Theatre, and Leaf Café were given a hamper with items stocked at Hertford Town & Tourist Information Centre.
The Mayor of Hertford, Cllr Bob Deering, said: "Once again Hertford Town Centre businesses went over and above to bring much needed festive cheer to the County town of Hertford for its residents and visitors to enjoy. Well done to all the fantastic entries, it was a very difficult task to choose our top three."
