Bengeo Nursery homes consultation

A public consultation is taking place next week ahead of plans for development of the former Bengeo Nursery site in Sacombe Road, Bengeo.

Borehamwood based Durkan Homes are hoping to build 50 new homes on the site and are holding an exhibition at Bengeo Crickewt Club before submitting a detailed planning application later in the month.

The development would consist of 44 houses and 6 flats of a traditional design, retaining existing mature trees and hedgerows.

The developer recently presented their plans to the Bengeo Area Neighbourhood Plan residents' group, who provided feedback on the proposals.

The site is part of a larger area designated for housing in the District Plan, allowing a further 100 homes to be built to the north of the nursery site.

The exhibition will take place at Bengeo Cricket Club in Boundary Drive on Tuesay 6th August between 3pm and 8pm.
