Serial offender charged with new offences

A man has been charged with 16 offences that took place in Hertford and Hoddesdon earlier this month

Michael Cakebread, 37, of no fixed abode, has been charged with:

  • 8 counts of breaching a Criminal Behaviour Order
  • 7 counts of theft from a shop
  • 1 count of vehicle interference

The charges relate to incidents that occurred between 6th June and 20th June 2026.

Cakebread was arrested on Saturday 20th June in connection with a theft from a shop and was subsequently charged with that offence, along with a number of other offences he was being investigated for.

After being charged and remanded into custody, he was recalled back to prison.
