Man charged after Sele Farm attack

A man has been arrested and charged after a serious assault outside Sele Farm shops on Friday.

Paul Boland, of Windsor Drive, was charged on Monday following house to house and CCTV enquiries.

Boland appeared at Hatfield Remand Court yesterday (Tuesday) and has been remanded into custody ahead of his next appearance at St Albans Crown Court on Tuesday 14th April.

The incident happened at around 7.40pm on the corner of Fleming Crescent and Windsor Drive, by the Co-Op. The victim was taken to hospital for treatment. They remain in a serious but stable condition.

Detective Inspector Mike Doe, who is investigating, said: "The investigation continues into this incident, and I am still keen to hear from anyone who may be able to help our enquiries.
