Exhibition Train coming to Hertford

A special exhibition train celebrating 200 years of the railway is coming to Hertford next month.

The Inspiration exhibition train will visit Hertford East on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th February 2026.

Curated in partnership with the National Railway Museum, the train comprises of eye-catching carriages that showcase the past, present and future of the railway, helping to attract the next generation of pioneering talent.

Highlights include 'Railway Firsts'  a look at historic moments that changed the course of rail travel, 'Wonderlab on Wheels' - an interactive coach designed to inspire the next generation of engineers and problem-solvers, and 'Your Railway Future' - a career-focused zone, shining a light on the many careers available within the rail industry.

Tickets to visit the exhibition train are available to book now for free, and visitors are encouraged to book early in order to avoid disappointment as tickets are limited.
