Yarnbombers celebrate Your Happy Place

Sunday 30 November 2025

The Secret Society of Hertford Crafts have unveiled their latest creations, with a collection titled "Where's Your Happy Place?".

The Society are marking the festive season by with a series of postbox toppers celebrating life's simple pleasures - depicting those moments that fill our hearts with joy and gladness, that take each of us to our own unique happy place.

The Society is bringing 33 postbox toppers to Hertford and Ware with 23 toppers in Hertford and 10 in Ware.

We created scenes showing where we find joy in our lives, including hobbies, social groups, spending time with family and friends. We knitted, crocheted, sewed & upcycled some of our favourite hobbies like relaxing in the bath, walking dogs, camping, gardening, going to Hertfordshire Zoo, watching football, skiing, reading, wild swimming, playing golf and going to the spa. We made scenes showing how we like to spend time with family & friends such as down at the pub, having coffee at the garden centre, going to Deaf Club, toddler story time, doing yoga, going to church, singing in the choir and going to a yarnbomber meeting! And it wouldn’t be Christmas without going to the panto, sitting down to Christmas dinner, or simply being at home, looking at out of the window at winter wildlife wishing for snowy days to build a snowman.
