Charges follow sexual assault
A man has been charged with sexual assault in connection with an incident involving a 14-year-old girl in Hertford.
Ftsum Gebru, 26 of no fixed abode, has been charged with two offences of sexual assault by touching, following an investigation by the East Herts Local Crime Unit.
Gebru appeared before Hatfield Remand court and has been remanded to prison.
On the evening of Wednesday 16th April, a 14 year-old girl, got off a train at Hertford North. She was followed by a man who engaged her in conversation before allegedly sexually assaulting her.
The next day, officers on patrol following the incident arrested a suspect.
Gebru will remain in prison until his next hearing at St Albans Crown Court on 20th May.
