Crime Continues To Fall
Annual crime to the end of December fell by 3.4% compared to 2017.

The number of crimes reported in 2018 was 3039, compared to 3146 for 2017.
Violence and sexual offences was the largest category during December, with 70 crimes reported. Antisocial behaviour was the next largest category (56 offences) followed by criminal damange and arson (32).
The largest number of reports of anti-social behaviour came from around Cherry Tree Green, with 12 offences logged during the month.
Vehicle crime was at its lowest for four months with just 16 reports, coimpared to a high of 32 in October. Police advise that valuables should never be left in a vehicle overnight.
