Fore Street Closed For Cable Laying
Thursday 10 January 2019
The western end of Fore Street could be closed for up to four weeks whilst contractors install new cables for Openreach.

The road is closed between Parliament Square and Market Place from 7:30am until 5pm daily to allow 120m of cable to be installed beneath the road and pavement.
Further closures will also take place between Market Place and South Street on Sundays.

Openreach is the wholesale division of BT and owns and maintains the cables, ducts, cabinets and exchanges that connect nearly all homes and businesses to the telephone network.
