Homes Planned for Pub Site
The former Bridge House pub in North Road could be demolished and nine new houses built if developers are granted planning permission by the District Council.

Regenta Development have submitted a planning application for one 2 bedroomed house, six 3-bedroomed homes and two 4-bedroomed houses on the site, along with parking for 20 vehicles.
The residential development will replace the former pub and car park opposite Hertford North station.

Earlier proposals for 14 flats above a shop were turned down in February last year due to inappropriate design and layout.
Sold by McMullens in June 2014, the Sele Arms remained open under a holding company as The Bridge House. However, the pub closed at the end of January 2015. The mock Tudor building was constructed in the 1930s, a few years after Hertford North railway station was opened.
