Hertford North Timetable Changes Criticised
Changes to the morning rush-hour timetable at Hertford North have been criticised by commuters.
The new timetable comes in to effect on Sunday 20th May and sees an additional train added to the morning schedule, but the withdrawl of all fast trains.

Journey times between 6am and 10am vary between 49 and 55 minutes. Additional stops are also included in the schedule.
Comments on the Discover Hertford forum give an indication of the frustration felt by commuters:
"I don't understand how they've binned all the fast trains that were in the last stage of the consultation. All they talk about now is frequency but they don't mention that what was three years ago a 42 minute journey (or 45/46 minutes now) is now 52 minutes"
"I accept that they have to make changes to the timetable but I think the way they've done it has been very misleading as the train times they published in the consultation included fast trains "
"It seems like the proposed rail replacement between Watton and Stevenage drew attention away from the fact that they were getting rid of all the fastest journeys on the Hertford Loop."
The Hertford North service is run by Govia, who are contracted to operate services until 2021.
